Therapeutic counselling in Shoreham-by-Sea for
adults and young people aged 16+
Relational, trauma-informed therapy for anxiety, emotional overwhelm,
attachment wounds and the impact of painful early life experiences.
A place to be seen and accepted, just as you are.
You may be going through something painful, overwhelming or hard to make sense of. Perhaps you are feeling anxious, agitated, stuck, angry, ashamed, disconnected from yourself, or trying to understand things that have happened in your past while still getting through everyday life.
I offer counselling in Shoreham-by-Sea and online, for adults and young people aged 16+. My work is warm, relational and trauma-informed, which means I will not rush you, analyse you from a distance, or expect you to arrive with everything neatly explained. We will begin with where you are and gently make sense of what has brought you here.
You may be here because life has reached a crisis point, or because you feel frighteningly close to one.
Perhaps you are anxious all the time, overwhelmed by feelings you cannot switch off, or numb in a way that makes you feel far away from yourself. You may be angry, panicked, ashamed, grieving, exhausted, or finding it difficult to recognise the person you have become. You might be managing work, family, school, college or relationships on the outside, while inside everything feels as though it is at boiling point.
You may not know exactly what you need. You may only know that something has to change.
Therapy can offer a place to stop, breathe and begin to understand what is happening. We can look at the patterns that keep repeating, the fear that sits underneath, the shame that tells you there is something wrong with you, and the ways you may have learned to survive when life felt unsafe, uncertain or too much.
This space is for you, just as you are.
It may have taken a lot of courage to get here.
Hi, I’m Becky
Becky Gallimore, MBACP
I’m a real person first, and a therapist second.
My training and experience matter, of course they do, but I don’t think people heal because someone has the perfect technique. I think change begins when you feel safe enough to be yourself, without being judged.
This is your space.
You have all the power and authority in it. I’m your guide and your ally, not a guru. I’m here to walk alongside you, to really listen, and to help you make sense of what’s going on. Together, we can explore how your past has shaped you and how it may still be showing up in the present.
I see therapy as a collaborative and relational process. You are the expert on your own life, and my role is to be right there with you, helping to gently untangle what may have become buried, confused or difficult to hold alone, while supporting you to reconnect with your own inner wisdom and strengths.
You do not have to get it right here.
You can take your time. You can be unsure. We will go at a pace that feels right for you.
The Space
By the time you get here, you may already have had a long day, a hard week, or be carrying more than anyone else can see.
My hope is that this space helps you exhale a little.
The therapy room is warm, private and cosy, with a calm, homely feel. We can make a hot drink, get comfortable, and if it helps, I have blankets, a hot water bottle, weighted blanket or music. Whatever you’re dealing with, the space can be somewhere to rest your body and mind.
I also have arts and crafts, fidget toys, sand-tray and clay we can play with during sessions, if that feels right for you.

Nearer the time of our appointment I will send you an email with all the details on how to find me, suggestions for parking, and pictures of how to access the lodge. I know the first session can feel daunting, and I want to help ease any of those worries by guiding you to the front door, where you can relax, sink into the sofa, and reach for a blanket if you’d like.
